LAHORE (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / NNI - 14th March, 2019) Provincial Minister of Punjab for Higher education Raja Yasir Humayun Sarfraz and Chief Minister Usman Buzdar's Spokesman Dr Shehbaz Gul on Thursday rejected speculations on the media that a clean chit was given to Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif with regard to his alleged corruption in laptop scheme.During a joint press conference in Lahore, they asserted that the HEC is not designed to conduct investigations, and the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has been probing the matter.
They maintained that findings will be revealed after investigation is concluded.
"A committee is working to resume functionality of student unions, and plan is underway to effectively promote students' extracurricular activities," they said.Regarding Nawaz Sharif's treatment, they revealed that he is unwilling to avail treatment in Pakistan and wants to be shifted abroad while proper medical facilities are available in Pakistan.
