Shipping Activity At Port Qasim

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 31st Oct, 2016 ) : Where five ships C.V Castro-N, M.V Bos Anggel, M.V African Glory, M.V Bonanza YR, and M.T Admore Defender carrying containers, project cargo, canola seeds and chemicals were allotted berths at Qasim International Container Terminal, Multi Purpose Terminal, Grain & Fertilizer Terminal and Engro Vopak Terminal respectively on Sunday.

Berth occupancy was observed at the Port at fifity three percent on Sunday where a total of eight berths were engaged by ships namely C.V Castro-N, M.C Bos Anggel, M.V African Glory, M.V Bonanza YR, M.T Admore Defender, M.T Mara-III, M.T Chemroad Nove and M.T Harmony-I, to load/offload containers, project cargo, canola seeds, chemicals, LPG.

A cargo volume of 72,373 tonnes, comprising 63,709 tonnes import cargo and 8,664 tonnes export cargo inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 950 containers TEUs (494 imports TUEs & 456 TUEs exports) was handled at thje port during last 24 hours.

Three ships C.V Castro-N, M.T Chemroad Nova and M.T Harmony sailed out to sea on Monday morning while another ship M.T Admore Defender is expected to sail on same day afternoon. Five ships C.V MSC Beiling, C.V MSC Rawadah, C.V MSC Paris, M.T Brizo, and M.T Beach Galaxy carrying containers, furnace oil and chemicals are expected to take berths at Container Terminal, FOTCO Terminal and Engro Terminal respectively on Monday.

While another container vessel Northern Monument is due to arrive at Port Qasim on Tuesday, and three more ships, oil tanker shalamar and general cargo carrier BBC vermont and Zi jing song are due arrive on Wednesday,2nd November-2016.
