However, people continue to visit the residences of the martyrs to express solidarity with their families. mobile internet services remained suspended in twin districts of Shopian and Pulwama on the sixth consecutive day, today.

Meanwhile, Inaam-un-Nabi, a prominent socio-political activist, has filed a petition with Human Rights Commission of the territory over Shopian killings. The Chairman of Hurriyat forum, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, in a statement issued in Srinagar termed the announcement by the puppet authorities to constitute a team to probe Shopian killings as nothing but mere eyewash, and questioned the fate of all such past enquiries.

South Kashmir Civil Society (SKCS), Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) and Hurriyat leader Muhammad Yasin Atai in their separate statements strongly condemned the killing of innocent youth by Indian troops at Ganowpora in Shopian.

The Chairman of International Forum for Justice and Human Rights, Muhammad Ahsan Untoo, in a statement deplored that not a single culprit was ever arrested despite the fact that thousands of FIRs stand registered against Indian troops in almost all the police stations of occupied Kashmir.

On the other hand, Indian forces launched a cordon and search operation (CASO) in Samboora area of Pulwama district. The troops surrounded the village and conducted house-to-house searches.
