HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Dec, 2016 ) : The leaders of Sindh Abadgar Itehad while criticising the threats of closure of sugar mills have announced to launch a movement against the attitude of mills owners.
Addressing a news conference here at Hyderabad Press Club on Tuesday, the leaders of Sindh Abadgar Itehad, Nawab Zubair Talpur and Advocate Ali Palh said that the cane growers remained under oppression of the sugar mill owners, who purchased the cane last year at cheap rates and were threatening to close their mills this year, if their terms and conditions were not accepted.
They maintained that the sugar mill owners and Sindh Abadgar Itehad had decided to stage a protest march from Shahbaz Building to Hyderabad Press Club on December 19, against the tactics of the mill owners.
The Sindh Abadgar Itehad will stage sit-ins in front of the press clubs of all district headquarters, if the sugar mills were closed by the owners, they said and also warned the holding of a sit-in in front of the Chief Minister's House in Karachi.
