Karachi (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th April, 2019) Sindh cabinet has approved a compensation for the affected people of Thar coal field and Gorano Dam.Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah on Thursday chaired the cabinet meeting here in Karachi, which was attended by provincial ministers, advisors, chief secretary and other concerned officers.Advisor to chief Minister on Information, n Murtaza Wahab in a briefing to media said the cabinet had approved Rs 20 million, two government jobs and a plot for the family members of the policeman who embarrassed martyrdom in terrorist attack on renowned religious scholar Mufti Taqi Usmani in Karachi last month.He said the cabinet also approved Rs100,000 per annum for 471 affected families of Thar Coalfield and 757 families of Gorano Dam project.Wahab said after the inauguration of Thar coal project Sindh cabinet had approved allotment of land for setting up five more power plants near Islamkot.He said the Sindh government had fixed rate Rs182 per 40 kg of sugarcane for season 2018-19.

The sugarcane season would start from November.The cabinet transferred the power to release the convicted criminals on parole and allotment of B-class in jail to the chief secretary, he addedThe advisor said that the amendment in the Sindh advisors Act 2003 had also been approved and referred to the Sindh assembly for legislation.
