Sindh Govt Declares 167 Dehs Of Tharparkar District As Calamity Hit Areas

The Sindh government has declared 167 dehs of district Tharparkar as calamity-affected area and announced relief measures in accordance with existing rules and regulations.

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th Sep, 2018 ) :The Sindh government has declared 167 dehs of district Tharparkar as calamity-affected area and announced relief measures in accordance with existing rules and regulations.

According to announcement received from the office of the Relief Commissioner Sindh, these 167 dehs of the Tharpakdar have been declared calamity hit following drought like situation due to insufficient monsoon rains.

The five dehs of the district namely Bhitaro, Phant, Sarhi, Naukot and Wassi Pota have been exempted from the orders of calamity, the announcement stated.
