ISLAMABAD (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / NNI - 15th March, 2019) Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Senator Sirajul Haq, has strongly condemned the terrorist attack at a mosque in New Zealand and termed it an attack on islam and the entire Ummah.He has called upon the government to immediately call an OIC meeting to take notice of the incident and devise a strategy for the protection of the Muslims against terrorism.Sirajul Haq said that in the recent times, the incidents of terrorism against Islam and the Muslims had increased at an alarming rate in the western and European countries.
Attacks on the mosques, madrissahs and veil observing Muslim women had become a routine.
He said that the attack on the faithful during prayers was the worst form of terrorism and the Muslims rulers should not remain silent on it.
He further said that the governments should not be content with verbal condemnation and should expose the terrorists involved in the incident and the forces behind them. He said that the security of the Muslims was the responsibility of Pakistan and the entire Muslim world.The JI chief prayed for the salvation of the martyrs and for the quick recovery of the injured.
Fateha was also offered for the martyrs at Mansoora mosque. NNI
