PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Jan, 2019 ) :Director Education, Dr Hafiz Ibrahim here on Wednesday visited Kohistan to take stock of education sector and suspended six teachers for being absent from duty.
He undertook a two-day visit on the directives of Adviser to Chief Minister on Education, Ziaullah Bangash.
The director also held meeting with Deputy Commissioner Kohistan, Commissioner Dasu, District Education Officer (DEO) (male and female).
He inspected educational institutions including Government High School, Government Girls High school, Government Primary School in Dasu and reviewed facilities there.
The director education also discussed various issues with officials of the education department to improve condition of the education sector and ensure quality education.
During the meeting, the issue of closed school was also taken up and discussed a strategy to make them functional again.
He also briefed the DEO about appointment of surplus teachers in various schools and formal way for their dismissal in case they failed to perform their duty.
He urged the teachers to continue with their devotion to promote quality education for preparing the youth for contemporary and future challenges.
