Solid Measures Help Protect Wildlife In GB: Regional Forest Officer (RFO) Wildlife, Shah Nawaz Khan

Regional Forest Officer (RFO) Wildlife, Shah Nawaz Khan has said the department was taking solid measures to protect rare wildlife species in all districts of Gilgit-Baltistan (GB).
ASTORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Dec, 2018 ) :Regional Forest Officer (RFO) Wildlife, Shah Nawaz Khan has said the department was taking solid measures to protect rare wildlife species in all districts of Gilgit-Baltistan (GB).
He said wildlife was a precious asset of our region and a gift from nature to add beauty to our land. It was our obligation to protect and take care of wildlife to increase the beauty and opportunities for tourism in our region.
As part of such efforts, he said the ban had been imposed on illegal hunting in all the districts, adding that the committees comprising local people have been constituted to keep an eye on illegal hunters and violations of laws.
Despite limited resources, the department has achieved set target and was successfully protecting wildlife in the area. Due to these measures, he said wildlife was thriving in the area and numbers of different species have been seen increasing at many places.
He said that local people realizing the importance of wildlifewere committed to cooperating with wildlife officials in achieving the settargets.
