ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Aug, 2024) The Sustainable Social Development Organization (SSDO) launched the Azm-e-Musawaat (Commitment to Equality) program, an initiative aimed at empowering the youth and adolescents of Pakistan’s minority communities.
The program seeks to equip these young individuals with the skills and confidence needed to secure mainstream positions and achieve employability in society.
Syed Kausar Abbas,Executive Director of SSDO, emphasized the importance of this initiative, stating, our commitment is to provide a comprehensive fellowship that will enhance the capacity of non-Muslim youth in Pakistan."
The three-month fellowship program offers targeted training in functional English language, leadership, entrepreneurship, critical thinking, and employability skills.
By focusing on these areas, SSDO aims to mainstream minority youth in society and bolster their confidence to compete effectively in the job market.
"We conducted a thorough needs assessment that revealed a lack of confidence among minority communities, which often hinders their ability to seize opportunities and secure prominent positions," Abbas continued. "Through Azm-e-Musawaat, we are providing a platform that not only strengthens their abilities but also builds their capacity to access equal opportunities."
The launch of the Azm-e-Musawaat program underscores SSDO’s commitment to fostering a more inclusive society where every individual, regardless of their background, has the opportunity to thrive.
