ISLAMABAD (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / NNI - 12th February, 2019) A first meeting of the Standing Committee on Privatization was held in Islamabad on Tuesday for election of its Chairman.The meeting commenced with the recitation from the Holy Quran.

The Special Secretary, National Assembly Secretariat welcomed the Members and briefed them about the procedure of election of Chairman/Chairperson.Zahoor Hussain Qureshi, MNA proposed the name of Syed Mustafa Mahmud, MNA as the Chairman of the Committee and Mr.

Muhammad Pervaiz Malik and Ms. Syma Nadeem, MNAs seconded the proposal. Consequently, Syed Mustafa Mahmud, MNA was declared as Chairman of the Committee unopposed.

Syed Mustafa Mahmud, MNA/Chairman was invited to chair the meeting.

The Chairman thanked the Members of the Standing Committee. All the Members felicitated the Chairman being elected unopposed and extended their full co-operation.The meeting was attended by Mr. Zahoor Hussain Qureshi, Mr.

Muhammad Ahmeer Sultan, Mr. Faheem Khan, Ms. Syma Nadeem, Ms. Siara Bano, Mr. Muhammad Pervaiz Malik, Ms. Seema Mohiuddin Jameeli, Syed Hussain Tariq, Mr. Sikandar Ali Rahoupoto, Mr. Mukhtar Ahmad Malik MNAs and Malik Muhammad Aamir Dogar, MNA/Chief Whip.The meeting ended with mutual vote of thanks to and from the Chair. NNI
