Steps Being Taken For Education Sector: Ehtasham Javed Akbar

DI KHAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Nov, 2016 ) : Member Provincial Assembly Ehtasham Javed Akbar said Thursday that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-(PTI)-led government was taking measures for promoting quality education in the province.
Addressing various public gathering on his visit to educational institutions at Kari Khaisor area, the member provincial assembly said a number of projects were being pursued in this regard which would usher in socio-economic development of the province.
He announced to upgrade high school in Kacha Malikhe area to higher secondary level while Primary school for girls at Sardaran wala to middle level, adding these projects would be completed at an estimated cost of Rs 60 million.
He also said a building for Girls degree college had been constructed at a cost of Rs 400 million, adding all these measures were reflecting the government's sincere efforts to provide access to education for females who had been effectively rendering their services in various walks of life for the national prosperity.
Similarly, he said initiatives had also been taken to improve access to education equally both for male and female students and as a result, the MPA said enrolments in primary school was gradually increasing which was an encouraging sign.
He said since the education sector was considered as backbone to national development, the government was steadily enhancing budget for the sector, according to the fiscal space. On the other hand, he added, extensive programmes had been launched to impart training to teachers who played crucial role in preparing students for the contemporary and future challenges.
Only education can guarantee development in prevailing situation and we can face challenges by imparting quality education to young generation, the MPA observed. He also urged teachers to work with more dedication and devotion and impart quality education to the young lot who had to assume reins of the country.
He also assured his full support to make tangible measure for resolving problems of the people, adding effective measures were being made for ensuring all necessities of life in the area.
