Dr Samar said the federal government referred the Thar Coal project to the provincial government of Sindh.
He said the government was supposed to provide funds in two years. The chief justice remarked that public money should not be wasted. The Additional Attorney General pleaded the court not to public Dr Samar reply as it contained information about sensitive information.
The chief justice remarked that if it had sensitive information then it should be withdrawn. "We have sought details regarding projects done by Dr Samar Mubarakmund instead of sensitive information," he added.
The court directed to resubmit the report after removing the sensitive information. Dr Samar said a 10 Megawatt power had been functional in Sindh since 2005. The chief justice inquired about the cost of project.
Dr Samar replied that Rs3.7 billion were spent on the project. The chief justice asked why government was not providing funds for such a mega project. The chief justice sought report regarding the funds provided to Dr Samar for cardiovascular stents making.
Dr Samar replied that the funds were not provided to him rather those were provided to NESCOM. Additional Attorney General Rana Waqar informed the court that the funds for stents had also been audited. Later, hearing of the case was adjourned for 15 days.
