TCKP, Dost Welfare Arranges Tour For Students

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Aug, 2017 ) : Tourism Corporation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (TCKP) and Work to Empower (WE) of Dost Welfare Organization arranged a week-long adventurous, study, cultural and camping tour for over 100 male and female students of various universities from across the country.
The aim of activity arranged in scenic areas of Nathiagali, Dongagali, Thandiani, Mushkpuri Top and Peshawar was overall development of society through capacity-building, education, youth empowerment, entrepreneurship, global change and leadership among youth and general community of different strata of the society.
The event named as "We Boot Camp (WBC) Season-IV" was a seven-day residential, rigorous and thought-provoking leadership training program focusing hidden skills of youth, innovation and social entrepreneurship in context of socio-economic and political development.
Participants of "We Boot Camp (WBC) Season-IV" also visited historic and tourist places in Peshawar, Nathiagali, Dongagali, Thandiani andMushkpuri Top. They also partook in various activities including hiking, trekking, seminars, fireworks, bonfire, group discussions, teamwork, leadership in volatile situation, feats of courage and bravery and other training and skill development programs.
They also arranged various programs on the night of Independence Day and enjoyed cultural nights besides traditional music and foods during their week-long stay at different destinations. Speaking on the occasion, TCKP General Manager (Admin and Properties) Sajjad Hameed said that camping pods in Thandiani, Sharan and Bashigram had been opened for the tourists, adding that such facilities in other tourist places would also be established.
