ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Sep, 2018 ) :Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir has condemned the arrest of Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference Chairman, Shabbir Ahmed Dar, and TeH leader, Aashiq Hussain Narchoor by Indian police.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Tehreek-e-Hurriyat in a statement issued in Srinagar, on Wednesday, said there was no rule of law in the occupied territory.
It said Shabbir Dar and Ashiq Hussain were political leaders, but their arrest proves that the Indian authorities want to intimidate Hurriyat leaders and activists into submission through illegal tactics.
It said India would not succeed in suppressing the Kashmiris' genuine struggle for freedom through illegal detentions.
The Indian police arrested Shabbir Ahmed Dar and Aashiq Hussain Narcoor during raids on their houses and lodged them in police stations in Islamabad district.
