Terror Bid Foiled To Disrupt Holding Election, Three Held

QUETTA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Jul, 2018 ) :Frontier Corps (FC) foiled a terror bid to disrupt peaceful conduct of general election and arrested three suspected militants belonging to banned outfits in different areas of the province on Tuesday.
According to FC spokesman, FC conducted successful multiple IBOs (Intelligence based operations) in various areas of Dera Bugti, Sui and Chaman area of Killa Abdullah district and seized a large number of ammunition.
"One prepared improvised explosive device (IED) was recovered which was destroyed in Situ", he said.
The spokesman said a huge cage of explosives, arms and ammunitions had been recovered by FC personnel during the operations.
The ammunition included explosives weighing six kg, huge quantity of 120 mm and 81 mm mortar bombs, RPG-7 rockets, hand grenades, Kalakof, sub-machine guns (SMG), pistol alongside huge quantity of ammunition, 255 rounds of sniper rifle, large number of fuses used in preparation of IEDs and accessories of 14.5 gun and china light machine gun (LMG).
The FC spokesman said these recovered ammunition could have been utilized for sabotaging the general election in the province.
Further investigation was underway.
