Those Responsible For Sahiwal Killings To Face Strict Punishment: Sarwar

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Jan, 2019 ) :Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar Tuesday said those responsible for tragic shooting incident of Sahiwal would face strict punishment and an example would be set for others.
Talking to a private news channel, he said in the world over, the perpetrators of such heinous acts were dealt with iron hands. Such incidents did not happen in civilised societies, he added.
He said he shared the grief of aggrieved family and could feel their pain.
The governor said his statement over the incident had been misquoted and reported out of context.
It was first time in the country's history, that strict action against the those held responsible by the Joint Investigation Report, had been taken within 72 hours of the incident.
He said Prime Minister Imran Khan had assured that justice would be provided to the victim family. It was the philosophy of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government based on justice, which would be implemented by its government, he added.
