Three held for extortion

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Nov, 2016 ) : Islamabad police have arrested 11 outlaws including three extortionists and recovered narcotics and valuables from their possession, a police spokesman said.

According to details, a vendor Malik Arshad resident of Ghori town Islamabad lodged the complaint with Khana police station that few persons including Amjad Ali Khatak, Waheed Gul Afghani, Ashab, Liaqat and Agha Khan have demand extortion money from him on daily basis.

He said that they have threatened him of dire consequences in case of not giving money to them. Following the complaint, SHO Khana police station Inspector Abdul Rehman registered the case under relevant sections and arrested Amajd Ali Khatak, Waheed Gul and Ashab while efforts were underway to arrest their other accomplices.

Meanwhile, Sub-Inspector Muhammad Khan from Tarnol police station nabbed Suleman from sector D-17 and recovered 1200 gram hashish from him. Another accused Nur Muhammad was held for having 9 MM pistol while Ghaffar Ali was arrested in possession of 1050 gram hashish.

Sub-Inspector Muhammad Zamir from Golra police recovered 1200 gram hashish from an accused Murtaza Shah while ASI Muhammad Iqbal from Ramana police station arrested two thieves Adnan Khan and Waqas besides recovering mobiles and valuables from them.

Industrial area police arrested a thief Zulfiqar while another drug pusher Shahid was held by Sabzi Mandi police for having 370 gram heroin. Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway from them. APP/muk/rn
