Three Held, Rs 150,000 Fine Imposed Over Profiteering

MULTAN (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Apr, 2019 ) ::District teams have raided two shopping malls, arrested three employees and imposed Rs 150, 000 fine over profiteering.
Deputy Commissioner Mudassir Riaz Malik went to Chungi No 6, as a citizen, and checked the rates of items.
The rates of all the things were found higher than the rates fixed by the government.
DC ordered arrest of manager of the shopping mall while Rs 100,000 fine was also imposed.
Mudassir said that crackdown against profiteering had been started under the directions of Punjab government.
He said that profiteers would be dealt with iron hands.
Meanwhile, secretary RTA Kamran Bukhari raided at grocery of Maal of Multan. The teams imposed Rs 50000 fine and apprehended two employees over profiteering.
