Top AJK Authorities Take Stock Of The Current Situation On LOC

MIRPUR (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Nov, 2016 ) , Nov 25 (APP): Top AJK authorities Friday reviewed the current situation along the Line of Control (LoC) after unprovoked Indian firing on civilians and decided to provide full medical facilities, shelters and all basic necessities to the affectees of Indian firing.
AJK government spokesperson told APP here Friday evening after a high level meeting chaired by Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan. Addressing the meeting the AJK Prime Minister directed all concerned government functionaries to be alert for any emergency response required to tackle the situation.
He directed to ensure medical treatment facilities, medicines, availability of doctors and paramedical staff in all hospitals for the victims of Indian firing. The meeting decided to prepare alternative protected routes in Neelum Valley for local population.50% subsidy on flour at 58 depots in Bhimber, Kotli, Nelum, Hattian, Kahuta and Ponch districts for affectees was also approved, the meeting directed the districts administration to ensure the provision of tents, blankets and other items to the affectees.
The meeting discussed highly provocative and aggressive attitude being displayed by India along the LoC in Jammu and Kashmir and noted that the Pakistan Army is fully capable of defending the country.
While addressing the meeting the prime minister said the recent mobilization of the freedom movement in Kashmir had frustrated India which was now targeting innocent civilians, attacking ambulances and violating international laws.
He said India was purposely doing all this to divert world attention from its crimes in the valley where it used pellet guns to blind, injure the Kashmiris and killed dozens of them after a new spirit of freedom among the people of the occupied Kashmir.
The meeting also paid tribute to the innocent citizens who lost their lives in the hands of Indian aggression at LoC and praised Pakistan Army for giving a befitting reply to India. Prime minister said India would do inconceivable harm to itself if it ever tried to commit aggression against Pakistan.
He said a tit for tat reply would be given to any action by the Indian forces. Speaker AJK Legislative Assembly Shah Ghulam Qadir, senior minister Ch Tariq Farooq, other members of the cabinet, MLAs,Chief Secretary, Secretary Finance and head of the departments attended the meeting.
