Quetta,(UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 8th May, 2018 ) :The government's strict security measures have helped boom tourism in the province and the number has reached manifold as compared to the years 2013-14.
Deputy Inspector General Police, Zhob Division, Abdullah Khan talking to APP said after the improvement of security situation and government's special attention for the revival of tourist industry the local and foreign tourists were visiting in thousands now.
He said the tourists coming from other provinces are provided special security as they enter in the limits of Dera Ismael Khan and Dera Ghazi Khan where law enforcements agencies vehicles ensure their safe mobility in the province.
Abdullah said in sensitive areas his department seeks Frontier Corps's help to ensure maximums protection and safety of the tourists which has helped promote tourists industry and also generated economic activity in far flung areas.
The police official said the influx of tourists has helped decrease poverty aliviation. An official of Balochistan Tourism Development Corporation said due to improved road network after CPEC scenario and government's enhanced security measures have helped improve tourists' confidence and now they were visiting Motels and restaurants are being established at each picnic sport besides connecting it with road network.
Transport facility would soon be available to facilitate the tourists", the official said. "We have planned to promote tourism even at tehsil-level," he said, adding that a committee has been formed comprising representatives of public and private sector to boost tourism in the province.
He said the development of tourism would help creating jobs and boost business activities in the province. The prominent tourist attraction spots are Punnu Fort,Mehrgarh, Ziarat Residency, Baba Kharwari's shrine, Moola Chotok and Pashin vallies,Hangol National Park, "Nani Mandir in Hingol, Astola Island, Gawader, Sulaiman-Kirthar, Khojak Pass , Hina lake and many more.
These tourists spots are capable to absorb millions of tourisits if provided with quality access and safety and provision of missing facilities is ensured.
