As Muslims are fully prepared to celebrate the religious festival of Eid Miladun Nabi (PBUH) on Wednesday, the demand for traditional sweets and catering business rising across the country, as most of the people distribute sweet desserts among neighbours and those less fortunate than themselves for charitable causes whenever the occasion come

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Nov, 2018 ) :As Muslims are fully prepared to celebrate the religious festival of Eid Miladun Nabi (PBUH) on Wednesday, the demand for traditional sweets and catering business rising across the country, as most of the people distribute sweet desserts among neighbours and those less fortunate than themselves for charitable causes whenever the occasion comes.

A report aired by a private news channel revealed, the catering business, take full advantage of any special occasions to fulfill the needs of the public, as many people buy food from them and distribute it among the poor.

According to cater business workers, the sale of their 'deghs' (large cooking pots) on rise ahead of Eid Miladu Nabi (PBUH) like other festivities, ready cooked food have always an important part of any special occasion as well. Usually large quantity of something sweet or savoury is prepared and shared with the family, friends neighbours and the unprivileged.

An online food catering business claimed, many people prepare food like, "biryani, plao and zarda" for distribution in Milad processions and we are getting huge demand of food delivery orders to fulfill the demand of the citizens.

"I like zarda, the most commonly made dish on all religious occasions in Pakistan, I still remember the cauldron full of sweet aromatic rice or "zarday ki deg" my mother use to prepare on every Eid Miladun Nabi," said a 23 year old Samiya Yasir.

A housewife Zubaida Tahir said my families' hot favourite on the occasion is "suji ka halwa" that especially cooked in most of the houses on large scale to share their joy and i will prepare myself this "soji ka halwa" for my neighbours and family members, she added.

Another citizen Kamran Abbas said, "Miladun Nabi (PBUH) is a big festival for us and we celebrate it with our family and friends and will distribute 'chana plao' on this occasion".

Nasira Amin said, "We will make chicken haleem and rice for the distribution in 'Milad Mehfil' arranged at our house and for this we orders to catering shop to make two daighs.

"We make 'haleem' every day, but demand increases during Miladu Nabi (SAWW) and we try to prepare beforehand for 'niyaz'," said Mohammad Noman, the owner of a restaurant.

The trend of 'niyaz' connects people in a cycle, from the wholesaler to the commercial kitchen owners, from the grocer to the ordinary home cook, 'niyaz' benefits many people in many ways, a housewife Ushna Ali said.
