Traffic Police Committed To Ease Out Vehicular Mess,snarls

LAHORE,(UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News -31st Augst,2016) -City Traffic Officer (CTO),Tayyab Hafeez Cheema on Wednesday said the City Traffic Police (CTP) was utilizing all the available resources to prevent traffic jams and maintain smooth vehicular flow at all the important roads in city. Talking to APP here,he said that additional traffic staff has been deployed at construction sites of Orange Line Metro Train (OLMT) and other important thoroughfares including Canal Road Underpasses,M.M Alam Road,Gwalmandi Chowk, Mcleod Road,Outfall Road,Allama Iqbal Road,Mozang Chowk and others to avoid traffic mess during rain.

The CTO said that cash award and commendatory certificates would be awarded to those traffic officials who perform their duties with responsibility, adding that the DSPs and sector incharges have also been directed to issue continuous instructions for maintaining smooth traffic flow during rains. "CTP has put in place effective parking measures,besides taking action against encroachment and rules violations in city and around the development sites of the project to facilitate people",he concluded.
