Traffic Police Quetta Presented Annual Performance Report

SSP Traffic Police Quetta Nazir Ahmed Kurd on Wednesday said few days ago a crackdown has been launched against those who violate traffic laws in the city
The Traffic Police's 2018 outstanding performance is a hard work of 622 traffic police officers.
He expressed these views while addressing a press conference held here today to present the Annual Performance Report of Traffic Police in Quetta.
"During 2018 around 1000 unregistered vehicles including cars, motorcycles and rickshaws were banned, traffic police took strict action against 4700 vehicles with fancy number plates and took off black glass windows from 2971 vehicles", he said.
"In the year 2018, more than 1,00,000 challans were issued over violation of traffic laws in Quetta", he added.
SSP Traffic Police Quetta while addressing the press conference said the biggest problem faced by traffic police department was absence of Traffic Engineering Bureau, and a summary has been sent to Chief Minister Balochistan in this regard.
"A total of 3433 under aged drivers were issued challans in 2018, while 19306 drivers were fined on non-cautious driving and 9638 motorcyclists for not wearing helmet", he said.
He informed that to prevent national highway accidents, the department has directed coach and passenger bus owners to provide details of hired drivers. Department would take Driving tests for drivers of large vehicles and driving licenses of failed drivers would be cancelled, he added.
