Transparency, Depoliticization In Police Must To Achieve Speedy Results: Faisal

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Jan, 2019 ) :Federal Minister for Water Resources Faisal Vawda Tuesday said there was need to ensure transparency in police department for achieving speedy results.

Expressing his views in a private tv news channel program, he said that merit and depoliticization in police department was key factor to attain results.

In the past, he said some untrained elements had been appointed in the Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs), due to which, he added the LEAs had to face embarrassment.

Condemning the Sahiwal tragic incident, he said no comments would be made until and unless the responsible elements behind this gruesome activity could not be identified.

He, said there would be a briefing of the concerned department regarding the incident on Wednesday.

Faisal Vawda stated that promises and assurance given by the leadership of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI), with the people of this country during election campaign, would be fulfilled. The minister said that loop wholes which was being observed for the last thirty five years could not be struck down with "a stoke of pen". He hoped that PTI government would take all possible measures to streamline the system in every sector.
