Transparency In Auctions Increases TMAs Receipts: Inayatullah

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 04th Jan, 2017 ) : Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Senior Minister for Local Government and Rural Development (LG&RD), Inayatullah Khan has said that open and transparent auction of contracts has increased the receipts of Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMAs) from Rs 1.5 billion to Rs.4 billion while in June 2017 it will reach to Rs.
5 billion. Talking to a delegation of National Logistic Cell (NLC) here Wednesday, he said that before the present provincial government, Peshawar Development Authority (PDA) in debt of Rs.610 million, but now it has a surplus budget of over Rs.1 billion.
Director General (DG) PDA, Saleem Hassan Wattoo was also present on the occasion. The senior minister said that the provincial government has started projects worth Rs.
1 billion for the development of Regi Model Town, which include a network of carpeted roads, projects of electricity & gas, parks, construction of green belts and boundary wall.
These measures of the provincial government, the senior minister will turn Regi Model Town bigger and beautiful town than Hayatabad. He said that work on the missing link from Ring Road (Charsadda Road-Nasir Bagh Section) is continued over which an amount of Rs.200 billion are being spent.
He said that Charsadda Road to Pajgayee Road section of the Ring Road has been completed where two flyovers were also been constructed while Pajgayee-Warsak Road section of the road will be constructed soon. He said that land acquisition for Warsad Road to Nasir Bagh is in progress.
