Tree Plantation Kicks Off In Khyber Agency

A tree plantation drive under "Clean & Green Pakistan" kicked off in Khyber Agency of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa on Tuesday
Peshawar (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th April, 2019) A tree plantation drive under "Clean & Green Pakistan" kicked off in Khyber Agency of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa on Tuesday.The tree plantation campaign has been started on the direction of KP Chief Minister Mehmood Khan.
Sapling will be planted in three tehsils of Khyber Agency- Bara, Jamrud and Landi Kotal.Local educational institutions students are taking part in the tree plantation drive. Earlier, Deputy Commissioner Khyber Mehmood Aslam had directed district forest officer for the provision of 180,000 saplings.
The district administration will reward certificates of acknowledge to the students who performed well during the plantation drive.
Addressing the launching ceremony, Deputy Commissioner Khyber Mehmood Aslam said tree plantation is top priority of the provincial and Federal governments.He said the Khyber administration will utilize all available resources to make this drive a success.
He stressed common people to also participate in the drive so that they can play their role in provision of a clean and green environment to their coming generations.
