Tribute Paid To Zulfikar Ali Bhutto

LAHORE, Jan 5 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 05th Jan, 2017 ) : The Pakistan People's Party, Punjab on Thursday organized a cake cutting ceremony to mark the 89th birth anniversary of PPP founder Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.
In this regard, PPP Punjab president Qamar Zaman Kaira and other party workers cut the cake here. The PPP Punjab president Qamar Zaman Kaira paid rich tribute to Zulfikar Ali Bhutto's services to the nation and democracy.
Later, addressing a press conference, Qamar Zaman Kaira said that welfare state could not be established without following the philosophy of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto. He said that the PPP founder always stressed to eliminate exploitation of the downtrodden classes of the society and created awareness of their rights.
After Zulfikar Ali Bhutto his daughter Shaheed Benazir Bhutto took forward the vision and mission of the party. "In coming days we will put things infront of the people and tell them that what the government has achieved in various sectors" he added.
He said that despite all odds the PPP leadership never stopped its struggle for strengthening the democratic system in the country. A large number of PPP workers and supporters were present on the occasion and raised slogans in the favour of party leadership.
