ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Nov, 2018 ) :Truck art -- which won foreign appreciation -- is now becoming womens' inspiration as a number of them are taking keen interest in the profession of painting art .� � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � �� � Nosheen Bano, known as Noshi Ustad, working as a truck artist at Pir Wadhai Bus Terminal said she learnt this painting art from Lok Virsa and adopted it as profession and was earning livelihood for her family.

She said in the beginning its was difficult for her to even think of this profession but it was her family's support that encouraged her to opt this 99.99 percent male occupied profession.� � � � � � "My life was one big struggle�and to compete with men�I have to be like men to�support my family which comprises of a son and five daughters. She�said she married twice and was now a widow and worked as a domestic helper and later took up a job at a cloth factory to run her family's finances.�"But nothing was inspiring her and paying well to meet her family's needs and she chose Truck painting" she added. � � � � � �Noshi said she was good at drawing from early childhood which was a plus point to her success as a truck painter and after taking training of pen from his male Ustad (teacher) she joined the profession with men.

� � � � "Though it is very tough job which demands hell of expertise to face many customers but once you become member of a skilled class you enjoy it and you know how to negotiate with customers and meet their expectations of quality work" she added.

� Bano said on daily basis she deals different kinds of customers according to their behavior and she is been criticized even mocked for working on a bus terminal where environment was not cordial and healthy to work at.� � � � � � � � � � � � � �But, she said, she kept trying to motivate the women to work with their own hands and be self-sufficient instead of begging on the streets. She regretted that those women are not ridiculed who seek alms on roads but hardworking are not encouraged. "I ask those beggars to work and they say they were shy of doing work with men but actually they don't want to work."� � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � �She commented that as a female in a male-dominated field she felt pride in earning livelihood for her family and "she knows how to protect her dignity."
