FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Sep, 2019 ) The police on Friday claimed to have arrested two dacoits after an encounter in Madina Town police limits.

A police spokesman said that two bandits on a motorcycle snatched Rs 85,000 from a man at gunpoint near Gattwala on Canal Road and fled.

On information, patrolling officials chased the outlaws and encircled them during which they opened firing on them which was returned.

During the encounter, the accused received injuries who were arrested by the police and identified as Ameer Hamza and Shehroz of Chak No.67-JB.

The police also recovered money, two pistols and mobile phones. The accused, Shehroz, was wanted to the police in 18 cases of dacoity, robbery, theft, while during initial interrogation, the accused confessed 32 crimes.
