Two Gangs Of Criminals Busted; Five Arrested In Rawalpindi

The police have busted two gangs of street criminals and arrested their five members from various areas of the city besides recovering weapons, cash and other items from their possession
According to a police spokesman, CIA staff in their operations against criminals recovered 639 mobile phones worth one million rupees, a stolen vehicle, two pistols and other items.
He informed that SP, CIA, Ghulam Mustafa Gillani on the directive of City Police Officer Rawalpindi Abbas Ahsan constituted teams which managed to net the criminals.
He said, Anti-Car lifting Cell recovered 639 smuggled mobile phones worth one million rupees from a car in the jurisdiction of City Police Station.
In another raid, a Mehran Car bearing registration number MLL-1312 which was stolen from Multan was recovered.
CIA police in third operation busted a gang allegedly involved in street crimes and arrested its three members.
The police recovered two pistols and several rounds from their possession and shifted them to Gungmandi police station.
In fourth raid, CIA police busted another gang and arrested its two members who were also involved in street crimes.
The gang members were shifted to City Police Station for interrogation.
The spokesman further informed that Rawalpindi district police arrested 26 lawbreakers including seven proclaimed offenders and four court absconders during last 24 hours.
The police also recovered 1640 grams charras, 55 liters liquor, six pistols 30 borewith 21 rounds, a 7mm rifle with 11 rounds and other items from theirpossession.
