Two Killed, Eight Injured In Quaidabad Bridge Area Blast

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Nov, 2018 ) :At least two persons were killed and eight others sustained injuries in a blast took place near Quaidabad bridge area here on Friday night.
Following the blats, the police and rescue team rushed to the site and shifted the injured to Jinnah hospital for treatment.
Executive Director of Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) Dr Seemi Jamali while talking to media confirmed the deaths of two persons. She said the hospital had also received eight injured. However the identity of the dead bodies was yet to be ascertained, she added.
The law enforcement officials cordoned off the area and collected the evidences for investigation into the incident and ascertain the nature of the blast.
The incident prompted the heavy deployment of police and Rangers around the area.
Meanwhile, taking notice of the incident, Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah sought report from the Additional IG Karachi Ameer Sheikh and directed the authorities concerned to provide best medical treatment to the injured.
Governor Imran Ismail also took notice of the blast and sought report from IG Sindh.
They also prayed for forgiveness of the deceased souls and early recovery of the injured.
