LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Aug, 2017 ) : United Business Group (UBG) Chairman, Vice President SAARC Chamber and veteran trade leader Iftikhar Ali Malik Tuesday felicitated all the unopposed candidates of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) on seats of Corporate Class and hoped that the Founder-PIAF alliance will sweep the entire election as the alliance is enjoying the full support and confidence of the business community.
Talking to the media, the UBG Chief said that credit of this landmark success goes to Mian Muhammad Ashraf, chairman of the selection committee who with the consensus of senior trade leaders including consultation with him finally awarded tickets to the best of the best candidates on the basis of their integrity and dedication coupled with the spirit to serve the community selflessly.
He said the opposition could not dare field any candidate matching the caliber of the Founder-PIAF alliance candidates which resulted in winning of all corporate sector seats unopposed and this reflected the unflinching repose of the confidence on the top leadership of the alliance comprising all seasoned former presidents of the chamber.
He said that he firmly believed in supremacy of the democracy, rule of law and merit. He said that alliance has been winning the LCCI elections for the last 16 years and always upheld the glory of the safeguarding the interests of the business community at national and provincial level.
He said that he never compromised in his life over the welfare of the traders and projected their problems even with Prime Minister and Federal Ministers as well as Federal board of Revenue effectively.
He said that he would continue work hard for resolving the key issues of business community of the country on top priority. He said they would use LCCI platform for creating conducive environment so that trade and industry could flourish and economy could grow rapidly.
He said they would be further strengthened to enhance role of private sector in the economic development of the country. He further said the opposition has united with an aim to plunder the resources of the chamber while we are here to serve the masses that is why we have won unopposed four seats of corporate class.
Iftikhar Ali Malik said candidates of the 'Founder' backed by the UBG are also winning elections unopposed in other regional chambers across the country as no one dared from the opposition camp to come forward to contest with our candidates and our confidence soared so high which is a sign that the Founder Group will win more unopposed seats from the regional chambers.
