UBG Wins FPCCI Elections 2017

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 31st Dec, 2016 ) : United business Group won Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry elections for the year 2017 with majority Friday. UBG's Zubair F.Tufail became President FPCCI for the next year by securing 199 votes against Abdul Raheem Janoo, the joint candidate of Businessmen Panel and Pakistan Business Group alliance, who got 113 votes.
UBG also baged Senior Vice President's seat.Aamir Atta Bajva got 175 votes and his rival Mian Anjum Nisar 142 votes.This group also won eight Vice Presidents seats out of total eleven VPs seats.
The alliance succeeded in winning two seats of Vice Presidents: one each in Sindh and Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa. The result of single woman VP seat was withheld as two represenative voters from women chambers in Karachi have field case in Sindh High Court.
UBG is led by Iftikhar Ali Malik and S.M.Muneer. Tariq Sayeed leads Businessmen Panel and Aqeel Karim Dhedhi heads Pakistan Business Group, who have entered an alliance for the elections.
