LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th Aug, 2024) On the call of Pakistan Ulema Council, Ulemas Mashaykh and religious scholars all over Pakistan delivered sermons on the topic of minorities rights in accordance with Islamic teachings and the Constitution of Pakistan.

The clerics on Friday addressing the sermons in mosques all over the country said that both the Muslims and non-Muslims in the country should ensure implementation of the Constitution of Pakistan.

Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi led a sermon in Lahore, while Maulana Nauman, Hashir, Maulana Rafiq Jaami, Maulana Asad Zikriya Qasim, Allama Zubair Abid, Maulana Abu Bakar Hameed Sabri, Maulana Tahirul Hassan, Maulana Asghar Khosa, Maulana Abdul Malik Asif, Maulana Izharul Haq Khalid, Mufti Umar Farooq, Maulana Saadullah Shafiq, Maulana Matloob Muhar, Maulana Bilal Qutab, Maulana Tayyab Qureshi and others in congregations in their respective cities noted that islam is guarantor of the minorities rights.

The Ulema Mashaykh said it is the responsibility of the Muslims in Pakistan to ensure protection of the rights of minorities in the country.

The Pakistan Ulema Council also announced to constitute a committee comprising the members of all the religions, which will be mandated to carry-out joint efforts for the security, stability, and interfaith harmony in the country.
