PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Jul, 2024) The religious and social experts on Monday urged the Ulema to come forward and guide people about the true teachings of islam amid the malicious propaganda against Chief Justice of Pakistan.
Maulana Tayab Qureshi, Chief Khateeb of Mahabat Khan Mosque said Islam laid great emphasis on mutual coexistence, tolerance and harmony and did not allow anyone to take the life and properties of others on the basis of different points of view.
He said Maulana Tayyab said that the belief in the finality of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) remained an essential part of Islam.
He, however, stressed that no one could be allowed to issue a Fatwa or decree against any other person.
Dr AH Hilali, former Chairman, Political Science Department, University of Peshawar said the propaganda against CJP exposed the negative mindset of pessimists forces that was tantamount to obstruct free flow of justice and rule of law.
He said the situation magnified the growing intolerance that had crept into the society due to lack of education about Islam.
He urged the religious scholars to come forward with a purposeful dialogue about the significance of peace and tolerance in Islam that was also vital for mutual coexistence and prosperous society.
