Unequal Distribution Of Funds Mars Development Activities In KP Southern Districts: PTI Dissident MNA

PESHAWAR (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News -20th Sept,2016) : The PTI dissident Member National Assembly (MNA), Col Retd Ameerullah Khan Marwat said Tuesday that unequal distribution of funds and red tapism have marred development activities in southern districts of Khyber Pakthunkhwa.
In exclusive chat with APP, Ameerullah Marwat, who was elected from Lakki Marwat on PTI ticket said the southern districts of Khyber Pakthunkhwa have been deprived of development during last three and half years and huge development package was required to bring these districts at par with developed districts of the province.
He said Lakki Marwat, Karak, Tank, DI Khan, Bannu, Hangu, Kohat and Bannu were the most backward districts of Khyber Pakthunkhwa that needed special attention of the government. Political pundits in the province observed that millions of rupees have been diverted to Nowshera and Swabi districts from where the Chief Minister KP and Speaker KP Assembly, Asad Qaiser belonged that was creating unrest among PTI ranks.
Whereas other districts including the remote and backward Tank and Lakki Marwat districts, which deserve maximum funds, have received a very meager financial share.
The undue favor at the expense of more deserving areas has caused regional disparity and sense of deprivation among masses of southern districts of Khyber Pakthunkhwa, the analysts maintained.
Col Ameerullah Khan said favorites districts were getting maximum share while deserving areas were being neglected especially Lakki Marwat. He said they had presented their 13 points demand to PTI Chief Imran Khan who assured for its resolution.
"Our struggle was for good governance, elimination of corruption, equal distribution of development funds among all the districts of province, abolishment of development funds to lawmakers, besides impartial accountability and supremacy of merit," he explained.
Col (R) Ameerullah Marwat said if the corrective steps were not taken in time, the party would face the same fate like the ANP and MMA in the upcoming general election. APP/fam/vak/bmq
