UNHCR Acknowledged Pakistan's Efforts For Hosting Million Of Afghan Refugees

The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Representative for Pakistan, Ruven Menikdiwela Monday appreciated the efforts of Pakistan for hosting the millions of Afghan refugees for the last four decades and providing them support and assistance.

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Sep, 2018 ) :The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Representative for Pakistan, Ruven Menikdiwela Monday appreciated the efforts of Pakistan for hosting the millions of Afghan refugees for the last four decades and providing them support and assistance.

She was speaking to the Federal Minister for Human Rights, Dr Shireen Mazari who was called on by her.

She said Pakistan has taken several steps to protect Afghan refugees in the country which needs to be acknowledged.

They discussed the matters related to mutual cooperation and the problems relating to the Afghan refugees settled in Pakistan.

Meanwhile, Ambassador of Ukraine to Pakistan, Volodymyr Lakomov also paid a courtesy call on Dr Shireen M Mazari. During the meeting, they discussed mutual relations between the two countries.
