Universal Children Day Observed

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Nov, 2018 ) ::Universal Children Day was observed at Faisalabad where Child Protection & Welfare Bureau and Child Rights Movement jointly arranged a seminar and awareness walk here Tuesday.

Deputy Commissioner Sardar Saifullah Dogar was chief guest on this occasion while parliamentarians Latif Nazar, Firdous Rai, ADC (HQ) Qaiser Abbas Rind, Admn Officer Riaz Hussain Anjum, District Officer Child Protection Ejaz Aslam Dogar, Child Protection Officer Rubina Iqbal Cheema, Vice Chairman District Council Khalid Parvez Virk, Coordinator CRM Nida Maqbool, representative of NGOs Dr. Jaffar Hassan Mubarik, Tahir Iqbal, educationists, teachers and a large number of students participated.

Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner said that the children were the precious gift by Allah Almighty who should be treated with lots of care and love.

He said that the district administration was taking various steps for the welfare and betterment of the children on the direction of Punjab government and special attention had been focused on the rehabilitation and welfare of the special children for providing them basic needs including education, food and health.

Later, an awareness walk was held from Faisalabad Arts Council and culminated at Commissioner Complex.
