Ustad Baray Fateh Ali Khan Laid To Rest

LAHORE, Jan 5 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 05th Jan, 2017 ) : Renowned classical singer Ustad Baray Fateh Ali Khan (Patiala Gharana) was laid to rest at Mominpura graveyard, here on Thursday. His funeral prayer was held at Karbla Gamay Shah here after Zuhr prayer.
Prominent personalities from different walks of life including Ustad Hamid Ali Khan, Ustad Fateh Ali Khan (Haiderabadi), Shafqat Amanat Ali Khan, other singers and actors attended it.
Fateh Ali died at PIMS Hospital Islamabad on Wednesday where he had been under treatment for lungs disease for the last ten days.
His body was shifted to his residence in Lahore on Thursday. He was born in 1935 in Patiala Gharana. He got fame from his pair with elder brother Ustad Amanat Ali Khan. He received the President's Pride of Performance in 1969 and Sitara-i-Imtiaz for his excellent contribution to music. He has left behind two sons, Rustam Fateh Ali Khan and Paras Ali Khan.
