VC Islamia University Terms Alumni An Asset

BAHAWALPUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th May, 2021 ) :Vice-Chancellor the Islamia University of Bahawalpur Prof. Dr Athar Mahboob has said that the alumni of the university are an important asset.

University graduates brighten the name of their institution by performing meritorious services in various fields of life all over the world. These alumni actually become the strength of their alma mater and remain associated with their educational institution throughout their lives.

The Directorate of Alumni at the Islamia University of Bahawalpur is being activated. Dr Azhar Hussain, Assistant Professor, has been appointed Director of Alumni Affairs. Dr Azhar Hussain had played an important role in the establishment and activation of Student Societies and he has also been playing a practical role as Deputy Director of Student Affairs.

He has been given the task of setting up the IUB Alumni Network so that he can connect the University Alumni around the world with his university. A special web portal has also been launched online for this purpose and the alumni network has also been activated on social media where alumni will be able to share with the IUB community about their personal and professional successes.

They will also be able to participate fully in the development and well-being of their University. The office of the Alumni has been set up at the Syed Tabish Alwari building in Baghdad ul Jadeed Campus and alumni will be able to register through a web portal alumni.iub.edu.pk.
