Veterinary staff deputed for screening animals: DO

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News -27th Augst,2016) : District Officer (DO) Livestock Dr Saleha Gill said here Saturday that the district livestock department had deputed veterinary staff at ten temporary cattle markets, and also eight posts had been set up at entry points of the city, for screening sacrificial and other animals.

She said this step was taken as a precautionary measure, for the safety of people from Congo-virus threat. She said 21 veterinary officers, 82 assistant veterinary officers and 50 officials had been deputed at these points, for screening of animals through spray and other medicine.
