HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Feb, 2018 ) :The Vice Chancellor University of Sindh Prof. Dr. Fateh Muhammad Burfat has termed the artists the most articulate persons of the human sentiments adding that when words fail, colors get speaking.

A single painting expresses emotions that might otherwise take books to evolve assertion, the Vice Chancellor said and added, artists also act as proponents of peace and ambassadors of love and they also serve as agents of social change, that they seek to effect through their artworks.

The Vice Chancellor expressed these remarks while speaking as chief guest at the concluding ceremony of Final Thesis Show 2017 at Institute of Art and Design University of Sindh Jamshoro on Friday.

Dr. Burfat said that colors were one of the most powerful and creative medium of human expression. He said he was greatly bemused to see smashing art and craft pieces produced by the students of Art and Design in form of their final-year thesis project.

The Vice Chancellor who earlier visited the show noted that each stall, the artwork, detail, patterns, design, innovation and expression was full of life, vigor, message and creativity.

He congratulated the Director of the institute and his team upon the successful organization of the event.

Eminent electronic media panelist and CEO of Mehran Television Network Ghulam Nabi Morai said that he was deeply impressed to behold firsthand the incredible talent of students of SU Institute of Art and Design.

He emphasized the need for further promotion of female literacy. He said he was delighted to see very many girl artists occupying institute space and proving their mettle in fine arts, which he opined, suited their gentle nature.

Eminent story writer and columnist Shoukat Hussain Shoro said the world of art was unusual where an artist portrayed it from the angle he emotionally perceived. He said art of a given epoch also served as authentic historical resource showing in parallel to the world what had actually transpired during a given period of time.

The Director, Institute of Art and Design Naimatullah Khilji and exhibition coordinator Saeed Ahmed Mangi also spoke on the occasion.
