Visit Of 20Th National Security Workshop Participants Visited Naval Headquarters And Pakistan Navy Dockyard

Participants of 20th National Security Workshop (NSW) of National Defence University comprising eminent Politicians, Parliamentarians, Bureaucrats, Ambassadors, Senior Armed Forces Officers as well as representatives from media and business community visited Pakistan Navy Dockyard
Islamabad, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th November, 2018) Participants of 20th National Security Workshop (NSW) of National Defence University comprising eminent Politicians, Parliamentarians, Bureaucrats, Ambassadors, Senior Armed Forces Officers as well as representatives from media and business community visited Pakistan Navy Dockyard.
The NDU delegation was led by Maj Gen Muhammad SamrezSalik, DG ISRAA. Upon arrival, workshop participants were given briefing about the capabilities, roles and functions of Pakistan Navy Fleet, Coastal Command setup and Logistics infrastructure of Pakistan Navy. Commander Coast, Rear Admiral MoazzamIlyasand Commander Logistics, Rear Admiral Imran Ahmad were also present on the occasion and interacted with the visiting delegates.
The visit provided an ample opportunity for NSW participants in enhancing their understanding about prevailing geo-strategic environment in North Arabian Sea and Maritime challenges being faced by the country and role of Pakistan Navy.
Towards the end, participants were also given guided tour onboard Pakistan Navy Submarine HURMAT and PNS ZULFIQUAR. Earlier,the participants also visited Naval Headquarters, where they were given briefing on Maritime Security Challenges and Response including PN contributions in safeguarding Maritime interests of Pakistan. After the presentation, Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral ZafarMahmoodAbbasi also interacted with the participants, which was followed by an overarching discussion on important issues especially on Maritime Security and Maritime Sector of Pakistan.
