Visually Impaired Persons' Protest Continue On 2nd Day

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Feb, 2018 ) :Visually impaired persons on Tuesday continued protest demonstration at The Mall, in favour of their demands. They staged protest for the fulfillment of their demands regarding regularization of jobs for all those employees who were working on daily wages as well as on contract.
They blocked The Mall that badly hit the business activities at markets on The Mall and adjoining roads remained chocked. CCPO Lahore Capt. (R) Muhammad Amin Vains, DIG Operations Haider Ashraf and SP Civil Lines visited the protest site and held dialogue with the protestors.
Long queues of vehicles were seen on Lower Mall, Davis Road, Empress Road, Abbot Road and Canal Road. The traffic flow on these roads became initially slow but later on it was clogged from all sides. APP/dab-hsn/zqr
