Visually impaired people on Monday staged a protest demonstration at The Mall, in favour of their demands.
LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Feb, 2018 ) :Visually impaired people on Monday staged a protest demonstration at The Mall, in favour of their demands. The blind staged protest for the fulfillment of their demands regarding regularization of jobs for all those employees who were working on daily wages as well as on contract.
They blocked "The Mall" that badly hit the business activities at business markets on "The Mall" and adjoining roads remained chocked. Generally, the markets on "The Mall", Hall Road and Bedon Road were a trading hub ranging from electrical home appliances to mobile, computer and other hardware for buyers/shopkeepers from across Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK).
The blockage of main artery of the metropolitan city affected ths business. Long queues of vehicles were seen on Lower Mall, Davis Road, Empress Road and Abbot Road and Canal Road. The traffic flow on these roads became initially slow but later on it was clogged from all sides.
