VRC's To Be Closed On Oct 11-12: UNHCR

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 07th Oct, 2016 ) : The Voluntary Repatriation Centres (VRC) of the UNHCR in Chamkani, and Azakhel in KP and Baleli in Quetta will remain closed for the Ashura holidays on October 11-12 and will reopen on October 13 (Thursday) 2016, said a release of UNHCR here Friday.
The registered Afghan refugees who are planning to return to Afghanistan from Pakistan under the UN Refugee Agency facilitated voluntary repatriation program are informed not to visit the centres during Ashura holidays.
Afghan refugees in Pakistan who wish to proceed through the VRCs must contact the UNHCR helpline numbers, which are operational between 8:00am to 8:00pm, before arriving at the centres, it concluded.
