A sessions court on Thursday rejected bail application of an accused who allegedly tortured his wife and shaved her head off
Additional Sessions Judge Rai Nawaz Marth conducted the proceedings on post arrest bail application of Mian Faisal, husband of victim Asma Aziz.
Earlier, the defence counsel argued that a judicial magistrate had dismissed the bail of the accused. He pleaded with the court to grant bail to him as all the charges levelled against the accused were bailable.
However, the prosecution opposed the bail plea and requested for its dismissal.
The court after hearing the arguments dismissed the post arrest bail applications filed by the accused.
Kahna police had registered a FIR against the accused under Sections 337 and 506 of Pakistan Penal Code. The accused, Mian Faisal, tortured his wife Asma Aziz over refusal to dance before his friends and shaved her head with the help of his employee.
