Wildlife Dept. Grasps A Gang Of Hunters Killing Rare Sindh Ibex

The Sindh Wildlife Department arrested a gang of hunters allegedly involved in killing rare Sindh Ibex in Khirthar national park, in the Khirthar mountain range in Jamshoro district, and selling their meat in the black market
The Deputy Conservator Wajid Ali Shaikh told the local media in Jamshoro on Thursday that 7 suspects had been arrested and booked in 2 separate FIRs.
He informed that they had recovered the decapitated heads, hides and meat of Sindh Ibex from the suspects.According to Shaikh, the group had hunted 5 Sindh Ibex.
Shaikh said the hunters had been operating in the area from quite some time, adding that the Wildlife staff were trying to catch them in the act.
The suspects had been identified as Ali Gul, Nawab, Ramzan, Khuda Bux, Nazeer, Dildar and Mithu.They all are reportedly the local residents of Sunehro cast residing in village Rawal Sunehro in Thana Arib Khan area.
The wildlife's game officer Asad Ali Mari told that they also recovered unlicensed guns from possession of the suspects.
The wildlife have lodged 2 separate FIRs against the suspects including one under the Sindh Wildlife Act and the other under Pakistan Penal Code at the police station for possessing unlicensed weapons.
