Woman Suspected Militant Among Four Killed In Successful Operation In Matung's Dasht

QUETTA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Jun, 2018 ) :Security force including Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) and Frontier Corps (FC) shot dead a woman among four militants in an encounter while carrying successful operation at Dasht area of Mastung district on Wednesday early morning.
"The operation was carried out at Tera Meal area of Dasht on information of arrested militant by CTD and FC personnel when suspects opened fire on them from their compound", Deputy General Inspector of Police Quetta Abdul Razzaq Cheema said in a press conference.
Deputy General Inspector of CTD Aitzaz Ahmed Goraya, Quetta Sector Commandant FC Brigadier Rab-Nawaz and other official were present on the occasion.
He said six personnel of security forces were also injured when one of suicide suspect blew himself near the security forces vehicle at the moment.
DIG explained that four suspects including a suspect woman were killed in retaliation by security forces, saying that they were involved in different terrorist activities in province including Quetta City.
DIG CTD Aitzaz Ahmed Goraya said suspects also involved in killing of three personnel including levies man on Eid-ul-Fitr Day.
He said large ammunitions including Kalashnikovs, suicide jackets, landmines, improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and other arms were recovered from their compounds after completion of operation.
DIG Abdul Abdul Razzaq Cheema also appreciated security forces for successfully conducting the operation.
Caretaker provincial Home Minister Inayat-Ullah Kasi said security forces including police, Levies force and FC are playing vital role to curb terrorist activities from province.
He said this while talking to media persons after completion of conducting operation.
Home Minister said woman among four suspects were killed in operation by security forces following on a tip off, saying measures are being taken to more ensure strengthening of security in the respective areas of Balochistan in order to wipe out nefarious design of terrorism from province.
He said it was responsibility of government to protect life of masses and their property in the area.
Replying a question, he said local administration was investigating the incident of Nawan Killin firing, despite condemning the incident.
He also applauded the efforts of security forces in this regard and prayed for early recovery of injured victims of security forces.
